Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode kicked off the night. These two put on a pretty good opening contest with Bobby Roode coming out on top via the Glorious DDT.
The Bludgeon Brothers, Colons, and Mike Kanellis vs Breezango, Ascension, and Tye Dillinger
Harper and Rowan came out without their giant hammers, and the massive men held the match in the palm of their hands. After isolating Tye Dillinger, The Perfect 10 took The Bludgeon Brothers’ Crucifix Slam finisher and the heel team got the win.
After the match, Mike Kanellis was celebrating while showing everyone his custom Maria Kanellis airbrushed jacket and took the same finishing move from his partner. It doesn’t look like Harper and Rowan like to play.
US Title Match: Baron Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sin Cara
Corbin came out to intense heat from the crowd and played it off well. Nakamura was way over with the fans. The finish came after Nakamura hit a Kinshasa on Sin Cara and Corbin ran in to toss the King Of Strong Style out of the ring to steal the pinfall.
Randy Orton vs Rusev
This was a nice back and forth match, but in the end, no matter how much Rusev and English tried to derail The Viper, Randy Orton still came out victorious after an RKO outta nowhere after he slithered out of an Accolade.
SmackDown Woman’s Champ Charlotte Flair and Naomi vs Carmella, Lana, and Natalya
Natalya pumped up the crowd by telling them not to cheer for the baby faces. This brought out Naomi and Charlotte to a big pop. Naomi took a lot of damage in this match and then Charlotte Flair got the hot tag. Even though Lana actually did a fair amount of wrestling in this contest, she still met the wrath of two Figure 8’s (Tamina broke up the first one) and The Ravishing Russain eventually tapped out.
SmackDown Tag Title Match: The Usos vs New Day vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
After a very high energy contest of people chanting “New Day Rocks” and “You deserve better” (directed at Owens and Zayn), The Usos came out on top after one of their signature top rope splashes on Gable.
WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal
It was time for the main event and the crowd was hotter than ever. Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers received a tremendous amount of hatred from the crowd. The Singh Brothers tried their best to distract AJ Styles enough to give the Modern Day Maharaja a much-needed distraction. In the end, AJ came out as the winner with a Phenomenal Forearm on Jinder to score the pinfall and sent the crowd home happy. Afterward, AJ hit the Styles clash on one the Singh Bros. Then he grabbed the mic and sang “Country Roads” with the fans to a big pop just like Cena does whenever he wrestles in here Charleston.
