As we saw on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, The Undertaker returned and announced that WrestleMania will no longer define him, and that he’s back to taking souls, and digging holes.
Word is that Taker would be working more events before WrestleMania 33, and his next match might happen at Royal Rumble 2017 in the Alamodome.
Taker noted on SmackDown that Team SmackDown Live better beat Team Raw this Sunday at Survivor Series 2016, or they will have a reason to fear The Deadman. Word is that one of the SmackDown Team member will try to cost the match for his team (or abandon them during the match) and this would lead to a rivalry between him and The Deadman.
There has been talks of doing a match between The Undertaker & “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship at Royal Rumble 2017, and The Phenom capturing his 8th World Title as this WWE run might be Taker’s last.
This would make sense since WWE wants to fill the Alamodome with 65,000 fans at next year’s first WWE PPV.
